Crown Property Estate Agents in Javea was formed in 1970 by Roy Turner when Javea was a sleepy fishing village whose relaxed lifestyle and wonderful, healthy climate had been discovered by only a few visitors from Northern Europe. As the word got out and the demand for residential and holiday property grew, Crown expanded and Roy was joined by his son-in-law Miguel Bas Segarra, from a large Javea family and with a wide knowledge and understanding of the local people and the area in general.

In 1994 Miguel completed his studies at the University of Barcelona to be accredited as an 'Experto Inmobiliaria' ('Property Expert'), a qualification requiring continual study to ensure that both Miguel and Crown are familiar with changes in regulations affecting the industry and so can advise clients accordingly. As a member of the 'Asociación Profesional de Expertos Inmobiliarios', Miguel continued his formal studies and in 2001, in Valencia, qualified as a 'Perito Tasador de Inmuebles para Juzgados y Tribunales', able to provide property valuations for the courts and tribunals both in Spain and worldwide.

Roy Turner continued to manage the business until his 'retirement' and thereafter provided advice and direction until his death early in 2010, when the company passed to his family. Over 40 years after it's inception, Crown proudly enjoys a reputation for efficient professionalism and integrity as agents for property sales, construction and development.
